Effect of food insecurity on adolescent health, sexual maturation, growth and school absenteeism

Objective:

It is hypothesized that food insecurity leads illness, delayed menarche, poor growth, school absenteeism and having poor quality diet due to lack of nutritious foods.  The objective of this study is to investigate whether food insecurity predicts morbidity, malnutrition, age at menarche and school attendance and dietary diversity in adolescents.
