Objective:

Scattered trees play an important role in reducing the negative effects of soil aridity and climate. In an Acacia plantation in National Park Bou-Hedma (pre-Saharan Tunisia), we study the effect of this plantation on the near-surface soil water balance, and on how the water budget influences vegetation cover and water-related ecosystem services.
