Objective:

This cluster randomized-trial including 18 health centers and more than 2000 children compares the effectiveness of three innovative strategies for treating moderately malnourished children, i.e. a locally produced ready-to-use supplementary food, an enhanced corn-soya blend, or a specific and context-appropriate child-centered counseling.
