Objective:
This proof-of-concept study investigates the effect of omega-3 fatty acids, with and without multiple micronutrients, on infant growth, development and immune function. Infants aged 6 to 12 months will be assigned to one out of three intervention groups: 1) non-fortified food; 2) omega-3 fortified food; 3) omega-3 + micronutrient fortified food.
