Help fill in and distribute our survey for sponsors/volunteers/hosts | RISE Reinforcing Integration through Sponsorship Enhancement
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new survey, organised by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with Odisee University of Applied Sciences. This survey seeks to gather your insights as a host, volunteer, sponsor or buddy who has actively supported displaced persons in their integration efforts.
Many individuals have contributed by assisting displaced persons with finding employment and housing, navigating the education system, learning the local language and establishing social connections.
Through this survey, we aim to better understand the experiences, motivations and needs of volunteers, sponsors or buddies. The information gathered will allow to further develop and strengthen community sponsorship initiatives and provide more tailored support to both volunteers and displaced persons.
As a host, volunteer, sponsor or buddy, you can directly fill in the survey below if you were involved in supporting displaced persons between 2015 and 2024, through various types of support. Alternatively, you can also contact us if you need assistance with filling in the survey in-person or via telephone. We would also be very grateful if you could help distribute the survey in your network.
Survey details:
This survey is part of the Reinforcing Integration through Sponsorship Enhancement (RISE) project, which aims to develop, finetune or expand community sponsorship programmes in Belgium, Italy and Lithuania, focusing on persons with international protection. Community sponsorship is a solidarity initiative where host country citizens play an active role by offering social, practical and emotional support in displaced persons’ integration journey, including helping them find housing and settle in their new societies, complementary to integration measures provided by the state.
The RISE project is funded by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund 2021-2027. More information on the project is available on the IOM website.
In case you have any questions, want to share contacts for the dissemination of the second survey for hosted people or would like to receive more information in general, you can contact IOM through riseeu@iom.int
Your help in filling in this survey is greatly appreciated and will play a key role in improving the integration support for displaced persons.
Thank you for your commitment to this important cause.
Kind regards,
IOM and Odisee University of Applied Sciences
