Aims of the meeting:
- Create networking opportunities among (i) Ethiopian and Flemish universities; and (ii) other VLIR-UOS funded projects
- Overview of national policy on higher education strategy – with a focus on PhD trajectory
- Share experiences on a post-graduate (doctoral) schools across Ethiopian and Flemish universities;
- Discuss the study report on ‘Identifying barriers and facilitators of PhD completion in the Ethiopian context’;
- Discuss an interuniversity PhD supervision training program in Ethiopia – the ‘Ethiopian SuperStars’ project;
- Organize Joint Steering Committee and meeting with External Advisory Board (restricted to invited members only)

- Draft script for a national workshop on ‘PhD trajectories in Ethiopia: lessons learned and way forward’
- Feedback on IQ-GEAR interuniversity PhD supervision training program in Ethiopia
- Report on low-hanging fruits to improve the PhD trajectory in Ethiopia in an interuniversity context
- Minutes of Joint Steering Committee with External Advisory Board (restricted to invited members only)
- Expanded and strengthened interuniversity connections
