Short Initiative (SI) projects are short-term projects of a maximum of two years. The projects aim to explore, build and deepen academic/scientific collaborations among diverse teams of academics and researchers. SI projects focus on a sustainable development challenge. Project budgets amount to a maximum of 70.000 EUR for two years.
With these projects, VLIR-UOS aims to strengthen the research and educational capacities of higher education and science institutions between academic actors in Flanders and partner countries. The projects are expected to create the conditions for the uptake of new and relevant knowledge, applications, and/or services by academic, civil society, private and public actors.
The call, guidelines and application formats can be found here on the VLIR-UOS website.
The internal application deadline is 10 March 2023 (9 AM). Project proposals can be send from 15 February untill 10 March to Nancy Terryn (for content questions and check) and to Barbara Lobert (for budget and general administrative questions).
VLIR-UOS deadline is 16 March 2023 (5 PM).
