Open Call for Participation: Training on Participatory Action Research

06-09-2026

Following the successful first round of the training, we are pleased to share a new open call for participation in the online training course “Centring People, Creating Knowledge”, delivered by the Reka Si Institute as part of the ALF Hands-On programme (round 2), featured by the Anna Lindh Foundation. The training course is designed and facilitated by Samar Zughool, an intercultural trainer and researcher.

The training introduces concepts and strategies of participatory action research (PAR) as a methodology to strengthen, document, and disseminate the valuable work of civil society organisations that engage directly with communities. It explores ways to build collaboration between academic researchers, CSO practitioners, and people with lived experience as peer researchers and knowledge producers.

Through practical and accessible modules, participants will learn how to:

  • View their work through a research lens
  • Assess the evidential value of their activities
  • Translate findings into policy recommendations and public narratives
  • Build sustainable bridges for knowledge transfer that centre people’s lived experiences
