The aim of the ICON programme is to promote, facilitate and/or strengthen collaboration between SGroup institutions (such as Ghent University) and their overseas partners, thereby contributing to the SGroup’s commitment to expanding collaboration opportunities in education and research through the transfer of knowledge and the development of strategic alliances.
The ICON programme for the year 2024 will provide 10 grants for applications from academic and/or administrative staff.
These grants of up to 3000€, aim to promote, facilitate and/or strengthen collaboration between SGroup universities and institutions of their choice located in strategic regions associated with the Think Tank Academy (China, Latin America, and Africa), as well as SGroup associate members.
Applications are now open and finish in May 2024 or once all grants have been distributed. They will be judged with respect to eligibility and award criteria on a first-come first-served basis. The mobility must have a minimum of 5 working days (no maximum). All ICON mobility flows must take place in 2024, at any time from the 26th of January to the 31st of December.
