The Ethiopian government has largely invested in construction of soil and water conservation structures (SCS) in the past decades. Yet, runoff and soil loss is still high, while crop yields remain low.

The study aims to investigate whether integration of innovative tillage with SCS can lead to improved soil-water regime, reduced failure of SCS, enhanced yield and their increased adoption.
