Sarcopenia is becoming recognised as a key public health issue, associated with a significantly high risk of morbidity and mortality. Despite this world-wide importance, there is no information about the situation in Ethiopia. In this observational study, the prevalence, incidence, impacts and risk-factors of sarcopenia in Ethiopia will be determined.
