Agricultural production in Africa remains low as a result of the myriads of challenges that smallholder farmers face including lack of access to relevant information and knowledge, research outputs, lack of access to markets and financial services. The mobile phone technology offers the opportunity to enhance the capacity of smallholder agriculture and improve rural agriculture and livelihood.
