This research localizes displacement governance in urban Ethiopia and investigates the way support practices shape displaced persons‘ everyday realities, and thus the consequences this governance has for both IDPs and long-term residents. Relying on urban ethnography it aims to rethink the local governance of displacement in the context of Ethiopia and challenge dominant understandings of governance and solutions for IDPs.
