Finger millet varieties will be screened for resistance against dominant plant-parasitic nematodes. Pot-experiments will be executed to quantify the symptoms and the damage to the plant at different nematode inoculum levels. The potential of priming to promote plant defense against nematodes will be analyzed at molecular level and via field trials.
